Chandelier Hire Wows at Wedding & Bridal Expo
During the month of June 2016, Chandelier Hire attended the Your Perfect Day Wedding and Bridal Expo and Event. The Event was held on the weekend of the 25th to the 26th of June at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Expo was sponsored by Bride Magazine and was a hugely successful event. Chandelier Hire was proud to be an exhibitor.
Loving the dazzling display of our Chandeliers as they glistened next door to Melbourne Wedding Entertainment and the super trendy Alannah Hill and Jack London, our space within the Expo felt like the Great Gatsby himself had orchestrated the event. What a party!
For Wedding Couples, this Wedding and Bridal Expo was a fantastic scouting opportunity to see what’s on offer and to start to piece together a wedding bit by bit. Luckily for attendees, they got nothing but the best vendors and suppliers within the industry.
As to our Chandeliers, I was overwhelmed by the product feedback we received, which was as always highly positive. Hearing from a wide array of people, Chandelier Hire heard invaluable feedback about the highs and lows, the joys and stresses surrounding planning a wedding in 2016, 2017 and for those early birds, 2018!
Some Brides and Grooms were planning anywhere from 3-18 months away from their big day, leaving plenty of time to evaluate all the options and possibilities, while others were on the hunt for those little finishing touches.
With six very different chandeliers on display, we asked attendees to name their favourite chandelier of the day. Our beautiful and super luxurious Princess Chandelier was the winner!
This Chandelier 1.52m wide by 1.52m high with 27 crystal armed joiners in chrome finish was dressed with our finest almond crystals, and topped by 18 signature candle tip globes. This chandelier is a show-stopper and always gets people talking.
For Chandelier Hire, the venues we work with are always so important to us. We loved hearing from Brides and Grooms about their choice of location for the moment they'll say 'I do' surrounded by loved ones.
From Melbourne to regional Victoria to interstate to destination hotspots abroad, the most commonly mentioned venues for wedding receptions among couples were Food & Desire’s Carousel, The Glass House, located in Olympic Park and on the banks of the Yarra, and the crème de la crème, The Crown Promenade.
We weren’t surprised to hear the most popular venues for wedding receptions were located in Melbourne’s inner city suburbs. After all isn’t Melbourne just the best city in the world!
A commonly mentioned trend throughout the day was the Rustic Theme, with barn or homestead style venues a popular regional choice. Often a picturesque blank canvas, this type of venue captures the essence of love, warmth and family surrounded by Australian native florals regardless of season.
At the end of Day 2 of the Expo and when feet were sore, we enjoyed a glass of bubbly with our hardworking friends at the Taittinger Marquee. We packed down our chandeliers and headed home to reflect on all the planning and magic, many of you Brides are experiencing at this very moment, while you plan and dream of Your Perfect Day.
And if you are ever in need, we hope to hear from you!
Love and best wishes from The Team at Chandelier Hire x
